November 4th

I know that the dates of the articals are over a week old. This is the second time I have typed them in. For some reason the first time didn't stick. Hope that this works this time.
Just my thoughts here, hoping that people will throw in their two cents and follow my blog.
"Movember"
Last month was breast cancer awareness month. I honestly kep thinking to myself "when does men's health get awarness"? Well, I got my answer! Movember!
It's time to get your mustache on! Just the stache and nothing but the stash. The month of November is men's health raising awarness on Prostat and Testicular cancer.
Ladies this is going to save us money on waxing this month!! YIPPEE!!
"Good People and Bad People"
I know that there are people that come to this country to do good things. To make their lives better. However, there are pople who come to this country and take advantage of the freedon we offer to them. There are three men that have been sending money to a terrorist group from the United States. The paper reads (Twin Cities+Region, Nov 4th) that Hussein is charged with on count of conspiracy to Structure Monetary Transactions. Two others have been indicted for Conspiracy to provide Marterial Support to Foreign Terrorist Organization.
Here is my question if these three guys stayed in their own country and were sending money here to help in the fight against these groups what would the penelty be for them? I hear the they take off limbs and other things. Interesting.

"Winnie The Pooh"
Dennis James Angell took a pillow and put it over the face of his girlfriends 16 month son. Tragic I know.
What I want to know is wht does the writer of this artical feel we need to know that Winnie the Pooh was on the pillow? The death of a 16 month old is tragic enough! I don't give a crap what was on the pillow! Did Winnie start talking to Dennie and tell him to do it ? I don't know.
Angell is out on a $50,000.00 bail. He has been charged with secon degree muder and first degree Man Slaughter.
At first Dennis was saying that the boy was choking. Finally the truth come out that while trying to get the baby to sleep the baby started to get crabby. Theis made Angell angry. So, he tool he pillow and held it down with both hands over the baby's face for about 40 seconds. He let go when the baby stopped moving. How about picking up the baby? How about rocking the baby? How about just simply talking to him?
From what I hear men that are in prison don't like baby killers. I hope to put Mr. Angell to sleep at night they play a recording of a baby crying.

"Big Trees = Less Crime"?
In the November 4th USA Today there was a small artical informing us that neighborhood with bigger trees have less crime! Wow! Really?!
The U.S. Forest service did a study on it. We have money for this? The artical reads "Large trees maby a signal to crooks that a neighborhood is well card for, making it more likely they will be caught".
Okay, my thoughts on this? Aren't bigger trees easier to hide behind? Wouldn't bigger trees indicate that older people live in this neighborhood and they are an easier target for crime? I took a look around my own neighborhood and we have trees and they are not by any means "big". Our neighborhood is just 10 years old. Which made me think, wouldn't smaller trees indicate that this is a newer neighborhood and the "loot" would be better?
Can't the U.S. Forest find a better way to spend it's money? Like feeding our little forest friends? Cripes sake "leaf" the trees out of it! Sorry I couldn't resist.

"Maybe the Trees are trying to help the Deer"
Hunters are falling out of their deer stands. Just when I wanted to say something like maybe it has something to do with the beer or liquor had something to do with it reading further into the artical it states that only 2.3% of the accidents were related to alcohol. Bummer think of the Super Bowl commericals that we could have seen from this.
Most of the falls are caused by hunters not wearing the safty harness that come with some purchased stands. Come on guys! Really?!

"California"
U.S. authorities found 20 TONS of weed near a tunnel connecting warehouses on the borders of California and Mexico. "Holy pot smokers,Batman"! Really someone found weed near California and Mexico?! I am in shock!
These tunnels have lighting, ventilation and a rail system for delivering carts of pot to the United States.
They have been finding these tunnels since the 1990's. They have found 125 tunnels. 75 in the past four years. This tells me that business is good. They are able to expand. What happens to the tunnels now? It doesn't tell us, but I have some ideas. Perhaps we could use them for transporting things that were "made" in Mexico back there. Could they possibly be used as a means of travel? If so will William Shatner help with the advertising?
San Francisco is trying to ban fast food restaurnts from giving away toys in kids meals.
They have recent findings that "30 percent of the city's fifth graders were overweight". How about we hold the parents accountable? I am pretty sure that these kids are not going to these places on their own. Sure when you ask them if they want to go they jump up and down. With all the T.V. commercials telling the kids what new toys they have that just happens to go along with whatever new movie is out want the toy.
How many people have or are suing fast food places because they too are overweight. When are we going to hold these people going to be held accountable for their bad choices? I had my galbladder removed years ago. They told me that one of the causes of galstones is eating a lot of fatty foods. Does this mean I could have sued for my galstones? How about I just make the choice not to eat at these places? How about we decide to not put these places every block or mile away from each other? Just be an adult, a good example of eating right and not go to these places every week?

"Voting"
My hubby kept reminding me to go and vote last Tueday. I didn't. Why? Well, I felt that I just didn't have enough information to make a fair vote. This is totally my fault. It's not like we don't get things in the mail or the paper isn't giving us information. I just wasn't taking the time to read them. I am not a big "news" person. The news makes me mad. However, I have made up my mind to change that. That is how this blog started. I had been sitting and reading the newspaper for two hours. I started writing on certain articals. I started learning things. One of the things I learned was that the Republican party won and won big! They have not won this big since 1928! Let's start making things happen!

"Iowa"
Iowa was the first midwest state to allow gay marriage. GO IOWA! Three supreme court justices were voted out the week of November 4th.
Bob Vander Plaats said," It's the people rising up , and having a voice for freedom and holding an out of control court in check".
Didn't it take a vote to get this passed or to vote the supreme Court justices' into the court system?
Mr. Vander Plaats, I think the key work here is FREEDOM. People no matter what sexual orination, race, or religon have and should have freedom. Maybe we should tell the gays they can't vote and they have to sit at the back of the bus.
Why is gay marriage such a huge deal? I bet that gay couples married or not have longer lasting relationships then hetrosexual couples. If somebody gave them a chance and spent the money for a "study" on this insted of a freaking study of crime and tree size this could be proven.
Homosexuality has been around longer then you have Mr. Vander Plaats! Could be there was a gay person somewhere that got y ou voted into where you are now. Have you ever thought about that? Could be Mr. Vander Plaats, that a "don't ask don't tell" solider helped fight for what you so loosely call freedom.

"Gulab Mangel"
Gulab Mangel the governor of Helmand Province stated that he attributes the improves security in some of Afganistan to the Unites Stats Marines. WHOOYAA!
British Troops turned over part of Helmad. Mangel stated that he admired the work of British Troop had done, but had to admit that the United States Troops have improved securtity.
This is the kind of stuff I want to see more of on T.V or in print. We all need to know that there are people that are invloved in the operations that are going on in that part of the world that are thankful for our help.
My husband has served 5 tours in Iraq and Afganistan. He tells that when they bring relife and aid to to these people they are so happy to see them. That they are so very thankful for the things that they have brought them.
I know that this is war. I know that people, innocent people both american and other wise have been killed. This is a war and dying happens.
Not everyone over there hates us. Yes, there are people that don't want us there. My guess is that these are the same people that have themselves, raped, killed, bombed and stole from thier own people. These are the people that we are trying to get out of there so the people who are thankful and just want to get on with their lives can.
"Nice Guys and Sex"
7 Minnesota men who called themselves the "Nice Guys" have been charged to a prostitution case. They were allegedly connected to hire out of stat escorts. What were they thinking? "If it's in a different zip code is doesn't count" rule?
This group was made up of business owners, and accountants,lawyers and mortage bankers. ( a qoute from Midnight Run..sort of. "If I was your accountant, which I am not. I would have to advise you to not open a sex ring)". Gosh, I thought there would have been something in those law books that told these guys that hookers are illeagle. Did these guys think that they had some sort of super power that would make them undetciable from the police? How is that working out for you?
The former ringleader (remember, tigers like pepper not cinnamon) (opps, that's a different ringleader). is a former assistant Hennipen county Attorney! This must have been where the "super power" started. He has been charges with six felony counts of promoting prostitution. The other men involved were charged with gross misdemeanor soliciting. Yep, it's gross.
The group had this up and running for three years. The investgation started when police were emailed an anonymous tip from a "john". The email stated the former assistant attorney was supplying illegal immigrants for prostution. Can we re-visit the tunnel thing here? Drugs and prositution usually go hand.
in hand. Give you something to think about doesn't it? Maybe the ladies are sitting on top of the pot in the cart .
One of the men said he had an emotional connection with his escort. (yep, she was having sex with you).That he wanted to kidnap and marry her. Um, psst dude, kidnapping is not the way to get a women to marry you. I think your may need to reevaluate your plan. This same guy referred to this as a hobby and hoped this was a truning point. What was the turning point? The kidnapping plot or the getting caught and charged?
As it turns out these guys are really nice! Another on of the men being charged said that although is was very expensive, to meet a beautiful Columbian woman at $625.00. (What does a beautiful American women run for) He was expecting a reduced price for his escorts services. Why, you ask? Well money was tight. These seven guys need to look for a differebt hobby. Maybe knitting or stamp collecting? Perhaps with their experience the can start another ring in prison. Of course getting paid in cigeretts and Ding Dongs isn't going to make them very much money.

"Three Jobs in Less then a Month"
I am not a football fan, nor do I know alot about the game. I do know that as a "normal" person having three jobs in less then a month would look bad on my resume. I also, know that with $3.388 million dollars I could probably live out the rest of my life being happy. Maybe Mr. Moss, you should just sit back and call it good.
