Sorry

Hello, to everyone and anyone who reads this blog. I want to say I am sorry. I was re-reading my entries yesterday and notices a lot of errors. I will pay more attention before I just go ahead and "publish" the blogs.
I haven't gotten any newspapers for awhile. That is why I haven't been blogging. Hoping to get a subscription to a couple of papers here soon.
Thanks,
CJ

More Dec 21

Dec 21st.

Sorry that it has been so long between posts. I will try to do better for my 2 followers.

"Tis the Season"
It's that time of year where we all complain about putting on the "winter" pounds.
Then enable each other with cookie swaps and holiday parties. Do you think for one second that once again take some responsibility and NOT have so many sweets? I am going to go back to what I said the other day (or week by now). Christmas once every 5 years! The way I see it cookie swaps could be of better use for those of us that pack thier kids and own lunch for school and work.

"To Charge or Not to Charge"
4 boys have been charged in Powderhorn park area. One of them had a gun. They sexually assaulted a women and later tried raping two more girls. They were asking for mon and cell phones. The family that was the first to be attacked had nothing. At one point they tried to rape the daughter. They stopped when the Mother started to yell.
Prosecutores have said that 3 of the boys admitted involement. Here's the deal, there is some confusion as to the year of one of the boys birth. The age of the boys was thought to be 14, two of them 15 and one of them 16. State law state that anyone 16 or 17 that is charged with crimes this serious will stand trial as an adult.
The way I see it these boys no matter their age should ALL be charged as adults. Look at what they have done. Not to mention it was all done in one night. Does anyone really think sending these boys to a Juv. Detention Center for a while is going to somehow to rehabilate them? Charge them as adults put them in the clink where they belong.
"Thanks Illinois"
Gov. Pat Quinn is expected to sign the bill that will allow for same-sex couples to have a civil union. The vote was 32-24!

"Now that is a Great President! So, I thought"
President Hugo Chavez deservers a high five. A pat on the back and one huge group hug!
Homes of 60 people were destroyed by the heavy rains and landslides in Venezuela. Homeless and no where to go? Nope! President Chavez told those 60 people to come and stay in the presidential Palace! The can live there for up to a year! There were many other people in meed of help that are able to use public bulidings to shelter families.
This is were a cookie swap would come in handy.
Okay, this is how I first wrote this story. Then something told me to ask my hubby about this this guy. You know what they say when something is too good to be true......my hubby informed me this guy is a complete thug. Now I am simply scared for these people.

November 27th

I have someone following my blog!! I am so exctied. Can't wait for comments. I have a ton of paper to get through, but it's all from just the last week. Nothing too old. Expect for me of course.

"Modern Family"
Have you watched this show? You have to. It's one of the funniest shows that I have seen in a long time. My hubby wouldn't watch it with me at first and now is hooked. It just started last year, this year it's only getting stronger. Catch it if you can. It's 30 minutes out of your day. Wednesday nights at 8 central time.

"DWTS"
Didn't watch it once this season. But just wanted to give a shout out to the 50 year old Jennifer Grey. She has once again proved to the world that "Nobody puts Baby in a corner."

"Thank you Craig Wilson"
Just a small artical in the USA Today by Craig Wilson from the 24th. He and a neighbor came up with an idea that I for one am all for, Christmas comes only every five years.
I love it!! We all put ourselves through so much stress every year. For what? For the perfect gift? How many cookie exchanges can I fit in? Which family to go see. Can we fit two christmas's in on one day. Seriously. I am with Craig when he says "why don't we all just take a breather? Sing a carol or two, wear red, drink eggnog, then call it a holiday."
The Way I see it, I am all for that!!! Unlike Craig I do have kids, but I still think this is a great idea. We still have our birthday's, Easter, Valentines day, Mothers day, Fathers day, Flag day, Arbor day, all the other ones I am missing.
I don't like hanging stuff on my fridge, but this is one thing that is going up there.

"Two votes for Mom of the year and one for Step Dad of the year"
I am going to combine three articals on this one. Where the hell do these people come from?
This is from the St. Paul Pioneer Press from the 11th.(I know more then a week old sorry. Found it in my folder). Get ready to swear and want to punch things. Robin Boxer is 25 years old, she has been charged with five counts of terroristic threats. She "allegedly threw her 4 year old son to the floor, pushed on her 7 year old son's eyes and then threatened to kill everyone in the house. AND she is 8 1/2 months pregnate. The way I see it, this is not raging hormones this is just rage.
To make sure that everyone was included in these threats she said that she was going to punch the baby in the face as soon as it was born.
I listen to a talk radio station in Minneapolis and one of my favorite sound bites they play fits into this story, "Could be a crack head!"
The grandmother called 911 on Saturday. She said she was afraid for her great-grandchildern's safety ( The way I see it, afraid for thier lives.) because of the abuse that was happening to them. When the police got to the house it was the Grandmother and Boxer's three sons and an 11 year old cousin.
The grandmother called 911 when the four year old told her that Robin had pushed on his brothers eyes. When the Great grandma asked Robin what she was doing that is when she grabbed the little guy from the couch and threw him to the floor. At this point Robin told the grandmother that the kids were not hers and that when this new baby was born she was going to punch it in the face and throw it around.
The three kids backed up what the grandmother had said. As if that is not bad enough the kids also told police that she threatened to burn the house down, and kill everyone. This is so sad and makes me so freaking mad.
When asked by the police about the claims her family was making she said that everyone was lying. Of course. When questioned about the things she said about the unborn baby, her come back was "It's a free country. I can say whatever I want." No-contact orders have been issued prohibiting Boxer from having contact with her grandmother, two of her children and the cousin. The way I see it we should simply put her in a padded room in a straight jacket.
Mom of the year number two. Susan Stevens was just trying to pick up her son from school. Normal thing to do right? Except she was drunk and her license had been canceled due to other drunk-driving convictions.
Last December she was pulled over with her son in the car and a blood alcohol level 5 times over the legal driving limit. Monday she was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in the parking lot of the elementary school her son attends. Her son was not in the car yet. She has been charged with second-degree refusal to submit to a test, third-degree driving under the influence of alcohol, driving in violation of a restricted license, driving after cancelation AND open bottle.
Susan has also been convicted of drunking driving in 2009,1998,1994 and 1987. She is currently still on probabtion for the 2009 case. This probation was for two years and had conditions on it, one of which that she abstain from drinking and sunmit to random testing. How is this working out for our system? How many times is it going to take for her to simply not be allowed to drive? The way I see it perhaps not even allowed in a bar or liqour store. Is it going to take her to kill someone while drinking and driving for anyone to do anything to this women?
On Monday an officer recognized her when she drove past him near the school. He knew that her license was canceled. She stopped in the fire lane in front of the school. The officer approached the car and opened the driver's side door but Ms.Stevens wouldn't even look at the officer. Once the door was open the officer could smell alcohol and thought heard Ms. Stevens say "No, not here, not here." There was a soda bottle with alcohol found in the car. What the hell lady? Maybe you should have thought of that before you had that drink. What are you doing drinking anyway?! More importantly what are you doing driving? TO PICK UP YOUR SON!!!!
She somehow made a $12,000.00 bail. Why are they letting her out on bail in the first place? Look at this women's record! The way I see it she should have been placed in rehab and not be able to come within 20 feet of a car and kept even further from her son.
Tylar Hokanson has been convicted in the 2009 shaken-baby death of his 17 month old son. Mandatory life, 30 years of which are to be served before he can be considered for parole. Really, he can be considered for parole? Why? The way I see it someone should just shake this guy to death.
This little guy Nicolas, suffered for days before he died. He suffered with a bleeding brain, a broken back and crushed lungs.
The jury that acquitted Hokanson of one count each of first and second degree murder during third degree assault on a child. They deliberated about 31 hours. What took that long? They feel that justice has been served. Okay, the guy is doing life. This coward killed a baby. And these people feel like a life sentence is justice? Let's not forget that he will be able to considered for parole after 30 of those years have been served. His is only going to be 54 years old in 30 years. If little Nicolas had lived he would be 30 years old if Hokanson is let out on parole.
The Assistant County attorney told jurors that Hokanson violently shook the baby on the 19th of June 2009 and then prevented medical care that could have stopped this little boy from dying a slow and I am sure painful death over the next 4 days. 4 DAYS!!
Hokanson said that he kept the fact that he had hurt the baby because he was afraid of what his own stepfather would do him. Really? So, does this mean that he was beaten by his stepdad or does his stepdad just know right from wrong. Before they took him to his cell perhaps we should have let the stepfather loose on Hokanson. Just a thought.
What about the other people that are involved. The ones who knew Nicholas was hurting you can't for one minute tell me that this little guy was not in pain. I know that a 17 month old has a limited vocabulary, but he I am sure was trying to tell Mom that he was hurt.
Multiple injuries were found on Nicholas. He had five broken ribs from Hokanson squeezing him around the rib cage. Oh, wait there is more. After the autopsy found two collar-bone fractures, broken ribs, bleeding brain, broken spine, crushed lungs, fractured arms and ruptured bowel among other injuries. How can anyone not want to or just simply cry reading this?
They also tell us that Hokanson's 7 year old daughter was a witness said that she saw her dad push down Nicholas.

"Marjorie Congdon Hangen"
In 1977 a woman named Marjorie Caldwell, was charged with aiding and abettting a murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the smothering death of her mother, heiress Elisabeth Congdon, and the blundgeoning death of ther mother's nursem Belma Pietila at the Glensheen manison in Duluth.
Elisabeth Congdon adopted Marjorie. In return she was killed. I have been through this mansion that is in Duluth Minnesota, if you ever get the chance go. It's amazing. Go in the spring and see the gardens. Tragedy aside this mansion and the grounds are simply breath taking. The story and history is worth your time.
Now, back to Miss. Marjorie. This women has been hurting people her whole life. At the time of the murders her then husband was charged and convicted on two counts of first-degree murder and was given two life sentences. His conviction was over turned in 1982 by the Minnesota Supreme Court. He was set to be retried, but pleaded guilty. He was released in 1988 and the committed suicide.
In 1984, Marjorie was arrested for burning down her house and did 21 months in prison for an arson and insurance fraud convition. In 1991 Marjorie and then husband Wally Hagen lived in Ajo,Ariz. She was accused of trying to burn down a neighbor's home. She was convicted of attempted arson, but was allowed to go home before reproting to prison to make arrangement for her husband who at the time was 84. Can ya smell the mistake? The day after her conviction, Mr.Hagen was found dead of a pill overdose. Police said they believe that Mr.Hagen was exposed to natural gas from the kitchen stove piped through a garden hose. There was a murder charge against Marjorie, but it was dropped due to lack of evidence. There are books out there that can fill you in on what this woman has done over her life. I have read them. Even if I didn't live in Minnesota or know about the mansion. I would have picked them up and read them.
Anyway, I am typing about this because a judge in Arizona has refused to remove intensive probabation conditions placed on Marjorie in a forgery case that happened more then 30 years ago this was after she was aquitted in one of Minnesota's most notorious murders. Okay, in March of 2009 at the ripe age of 78 Marjorie was placed on three years' intensive probabtion after she pled guitly to attempted forgery. She had endorsed and depostied an $11,000.00 check into a back account she shared with a man the day after he died in 2007. She then tried to transfer the funds into her own account.
She wanted the probation to be lifted so she could be admittted into a nursing home. Defense Atttorney Brick Storts (Brick? Really?) told Judge Munger that Hagen can't get into a nursing facility while on probation. The way I see it, she got what she had coming.
I wonder if she also killed the man she was sharing the bank account with. How many more victims are out there that we don't know about. What kind of trouble could she have done while in the nursing home?

" REALLY? I Mean Really?"( Novemeber 26th fro the Star Tribune)
Dennis Gaede a prison inmate who is serving a life sentence for killing and dismembering a Wisconsin man in 2001 filed a fedral lawsuit over his medical treatment. The State officals have said he has no basis for his claim.
Gaede cracked a tooth. He requested a root canal and crown but the tooth was pulled. He claimed that this was in violation of his constitutional rights regarding cruel and unusual punishment. Mr. Gaede, the way I see it I think the cruel and unusual punishment happened when you killed and dismembered your victim.

That's it for today. Lots of doubled up copies of papers. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog.

"movember" 23rd.

This artical is from The St.Paul Pioneer Press from 11/11/10. Be prepared for rant of the "The Way I See It."

"600 images"
A "Man" was inicted Wednesday in federal court for "allegedly failing to get to jail on time. Otherwise know failing to report. . His conviction for distribution of child pornograpy. This guy was sentenced on the 8th of Sept. to serve 15 years in federal prison. The Way I see it he had this on a coming. He distributed more then 600 pictures of child pornography! OVER 600 picture!!
A few days before Linngren was to surrener to authorites, the police went to check his house. Guess what they found? He cut off his ankle bracelet. At that point the case was turned over to the US Marshalls. I am no expert on these things, but the way I see it these ankle bracelets things don't really help much. I the person really wants out appernently all the need is a pair of sissors. The way I see it he may have been getting tips from Lindsy Lohan.

The did end up finding this guy two weeks later in Los Angeles County California. He must of thought he could have made it be there or something. What was he thinking? He was arrested again, but this time on auto-theft. He was turned over to the U.S. Marshals on Oct 6th.
This seems like it's been going on for while. Linngren was initially indicted in 2009 in a federal court here in Minnesota. CREEPY!!! He did plead guilty of sending the pictures or minors in explicit poses to a Yahoo group four year earlier! What the heck was is doing out of jail at this point? Seriously, this is where the rant is going to start. People are constant complaining that we have over population for and can't get every one in there. Okay, I have a idea on how to solve this. How about we go back to eye for an eye. Or in this cast this an eye for his Nads. Once again cut off with a very dull knife at short intervals. I don't think that the old school of writing on the chalkborad 100 times is going to work out in this case.
Okay, it tell me in this artical that Linngren faces a poential maximum sentence for ditribin child pronography in addition to the already agree on the 15 year. This still puts this guy out at the age of 63. The way I see it the chanced of his behavoir are not going to change. For what ever reason this guy is sick and likes child porn. Just locke him up or better yet save us some money and kill him.

Shaken Babies, and Momy's who think it's alright to pick you kids up fro schol Drunk!"
I am going to combine two stories this time. I realize there is no cure for stuip. I don't even thing there is a pill out there to help you with peoples stupidty!
On one hand we have a step- dad that in on trial for shaking his baby to death.
He was trying to change the babyies diaper and needed his atteniton so he shook him 10 15 times; Then watced for four days as the toddler condition got worse and he died.
He is going to be charged for mulitple things, first and second degree murder.
This little guy died in June of multiple blunt force trauma. The baby suffered bleeding in his brain a fractured badk and fluid leaking into his lung cavity.
An autopsy report alos revealed that Nicholas had five posteriore rib rractures that occureed during the last five month of his life. This poor little guy.
The authorities reoprted that they also found posterior rib fractures in the couple's 6 week old baby. These injuries were three to four week old and similar to the ones found on Nicholas.
Here is yet a running up for parent of they year. Poor Susan Steven was just trying ti pick up her son from school. She ran in to a bit of a snaff-f00. First she was drunk, second she had a a canceled license. Why you ask? Well seem Mommy of they year had prior convictions of drunken driving. That was in december. She was stopped with a blood alcohol level FIVE time over the leagal limit. Yep, her son was in the car with her.
On Monday (artical from Thursdays 11-11 St. Paul's Pioneer Press) afternoon Mom of they year was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving this time in the parking lot of her son school!! (for those of you who know Mad tv chacter Bon Qui Qui, I will quote her her "Ru") Let's take some put some other kids lives in danger for your stupid decisons!!
Susan has been convicted of druken driving in (prepare yourselves) 2009,1998,1994,and 1987. The way I see it this gal could possibly have a drinking problem. She is still on probabtion forthe 2009 case.
In the artical the speak of a few other times this women was pulled over. Booze in a soda bottle. Son again in the car while her breath test again was five times over the limit.
She pleaded guilty. Oh, see that just puts her one point closer to that mother of the year award. She must be so proud of her self. She recived two years probation, but with conditions that she cannot drink and has to submit to random testing. Yes, because this worked so well before!
The way I see it see should be put in rehab, have her son taken away from her. He is not in a safe envoiorment! What would Nancy Grace say about this????
That's all for now. Not feeling well today going to take a nap. Thanks to those if any are reading please leave your comments.

"Movember" 20

Going to attempt to get through some newspaper today. Get my thoughts down and out. For those of you out there reading this, thanks for taking the time. Please feel free to become a follower and leave comments.

"This one is going to be a long one"
This come the the Detroit News from November 11th. A girl named Samantha Kelly handged herself on Monday. She told friends that she couldn't take the abuse that came from kids at school and in the neighborhood where she lived.

A boy by the name of Joseph Tarnopolski was accused and charged with a felony charge of having sex with the girl. She was 14 years old.

Samantha was to have testified on Wednesday. The 34 district Judge Brian Oakley instead granted a request ny the Wayne County Prosecuter's Office to dismiss the case. They did not have enough evidence to prove that a crime had been committed. A spokeswomen for the case stated "As a result,we had to dismiss the case."

Samantha's friends and family are angry. They should be if indeed this girl was raped. It states in the artical that the hospital where the girl was taken failed to take a DNA sample. That's a huge oppsie doodle. Later in the story it states that both the kids stated that they had sex in Joe's parents mobile home and that it was planned. Under Michigan law, no one under the age of 16 can consent to sex. REALLY? The way I see it is that this law is only help up when some one is caught. I don't know this girl, her family or her up bringing. I do know that at the age of 14 girls hormones are raging just like this boys were. Teen sex happens all the time. Let's snap into reality here. This "couple" probable had sex more then once. This time they just got caught. I am not trying to make fun or lessen anything here. If the girl was truly raped this boy should go to jail. The story states that he had been charged on October 12th with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, he can go to jail for up to 15 years.

I titled this "this is going to be a long one" for a couple of reasons. I am a 40 year old women that has been raped three time. I grew up in a home where I saw my own Mom raped and beaten by my Dad. Even though I knew what was being done to me was wrong I some how felt that this was what sex was. A women never wants to have sex guys just take it when and where they want it. I never pressed charges against any of them. Today one of them is a cop. I feel responsible everyday that he is out there free. The last rape left me so sick that the doctors told me I would never have any kids of my own. By some the grace of a higher power I have three girls. This brings up another thing that really hit home for me while reading this artical. My oldest daughter who is now 19, clamied she was raped as a freshman in high school. That puts her at the same age as Samantha. I brought her to the hospital as soon as I found out. They did a rape kit on her called in for a social worker and the police to get involved.

As everyone invovled was asking my daughter question I became very aware of some very strange behavior. Sitting there having flash backs, and hearing questions like "when was the last time you showered?" Her response to this was she had showered since the day it happened. The first thing I did was shower. The next question was what clothes were you wearing? Her response "the ones I have on". Seriously? Doubts started to swirl in my head. I didn't want for one minute want to think that my daughter was capable of making up this kind of story. I was sick to my stomache.
The next school day we were called in to see the Superintendant amoung other school officals. They asked me if I thought she was telling the truth. I just sat there for a second and looked at them. I said "I don't want to belive she could make something like this up, but you simply asking me that tells me that is excatly what happened." Here is what happened. My daughter got a pass to go to the bathroom, this boy also got a pass (he was in a different class) to go to they bathroom. They met up and walked to a bathroom, that one was being used, they continued to walk to another bathroom this one was being cleaned. They then walked to another bathroom. You can see this whole even unfold on the camera's found through out the school. The both walked into the third bathroom where they had sex. Consentual sex. They had planned it.
The next day when my daughter went up to this boy he told her to f@#% off. So, to get back at him she began a tale of being raped.
Again, I am not saying that I doubt what these parents are saying, but honestly lets take a good look at our youth today. What they are contanly exposed too. Words to songs that talk about sex, movies that are rated PG or PG 13 that we as parents would rate as "R". I am not blaming it on the media either. Just trying to live in reality.
It's sad that we had to lose another youth to suicide. It's also sad that the families will never know the truth about what happened between the Tranopolski boy and the Kelly's daughter. I hope some day some sort of Justice will be brought to both of these families.

"Another Way to Help"

Terry and jan Blumberg lost their son Trevor shortly after being deployed to Iraq. He died September 14th 2003, when an improvised explosive went off near his vehicle.
Before he was shipped out he told his father "If anything happens to me, I want you to take care of my dog and my guys."
His parents are now building a house where returning vetrans can go with thier families for free. The house is 3,500 square feet, and is handicap accessible. It sits on 12 wooded acres on the Orchard loake near Rogers City. The forest is populated by deer, black bears and turkeys. OH MY!
The house is named "Blum's Landing". It's secluded yet close to fishing streams, hunting grounds and boat launches.
Mr. Terry Blumberg, himself is a vet. He is building this house with his own money and donations of cash and work from Vetran groups. He says it's the least he can do for his son.
The Blumbergs would like to to have the house - a tax exempt public charity- completed by June so vets and their families can hike, fish, and reconnect with each other.
I know a little too much about this. With my husband doing 5 tours in Iraq and other places. Each times he comes home a little different. He craves the sounds of silence and not having to breath in sand. Taking time with your family is the most important thing for any vetran family. As Mr. Blumberg says "They need time with thier families where ther's no hubbub,no pressure. The way I see it he is right. Thanks Mr.Blumberg.
If you want to know how you can help or just learn more about "Blum's Landing" please visit http://www.blumslanding.org/.

"How and Why,WHY!"

In Redford Township and man accused of persuading monther in three states to sexually assault thier children has been indinted on 13 sexual exploitaition charges. WHAT THE F?!!
This was annoucement came from the U.S. Attorney's on Wednesday. It accuses Steven Demink of forging relationships with women on the internet. The "women" all single mothers who were under the age of 18! WTF!! Steven would manipulate them into sexually assaulting young children.
Dimin, is 41. He is facing 15 -30 years in prison if convicted of conspiracy to sexually exploit children and aiding and abetting the exploitation. Steven also could face charges of 5 -20 years if convicted of receiving child pornography, which of course was found on his computer. This could lead up to another 10 years for possessing child porn.
Okay, the way I see it none of this is long enough for what this guy did. I can't even say Man he is no "man". The way I see it we should cut his balls off with a really dull dirty knife and let him bleed out. Seem fair to me.
Authorities have gotten 7 childeren from different states who were under the care of four mothers. What happens to these girls? Are they going to go on and have more kids? The way I see it we just tie their tubes or give them a hystorectomy. They know what they did. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU. THESE WERE YOUR CHILDREN!! YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO LOVE AND CARE FOR THEM.

Thats all for today. I promise more to come. If anyone is really reading this.

me again on the 18th of "movember"

I am really trying to get caught up on all the stuff that I have written. Then of course caught up on all the newspapers that I have collected. A co worker suggested that I start this blog and the got worried that I was going to be on an epidsode of "Hoarder" Eww, don't want that to happen? Have you seen that show? Whenever I feel a little blue and unmotivated to clean my house I watch that. The next day I am not only cleaning, but but throwing stuff out that is seems like no one lives in the house.

Okay, on with "The Way I See It".

"Preschoolers and T.V."

Sit down and take a deep breath. What I am about to tell you is utterly shocking. On average kids between the ages of 2 and 5 spend 32 hours in front of the T.V. a week. That is just about a full time job!! This is according to Nielsen.
When asked "what the most wabt for thier children" the parents reply came back as "For them to be happy" The way I see it, I bet if you asked the kids they would say for Mommy and Daddy to spend mor time with me and stop using the T.V. as a babysitter!!
Instead of plopping your kid down in front of the t.v., video games, I pad, I pods, hand held gaming systems, how about going old school? How about going to the library, (yes, they are still out there!! And they are amazing), how about reading together. Going outside to play, Going to Target and picking up a couple of board games? Let your kids go to that awesome land of pretend and thin thing up on thier own.
I know gone are the days where we can send the kids out side and tell them to be home when the street lights come on. But go out with them! We got lucky when we moved in to the neighborhood we have. We are all very close and we just consider each other as a part of our family. We all have kids about the same age. In the summer they are outside playing with each other. They start out at one house and move from house to house. We have games that even the adults get involved in. It's good for the kids and good for the parents. And a great example for the kids to see thier parents having fun too.
$276 milllion was spent in the last year for marketing to advertise during childerns t.v. shows. They are "selling" our kids toys and fast food. The way I see it this ties in with what I mentioned before about the toys being left out of the happy meals. If kids didn't watch t.v. or see commercials for these things they wouldn't think they needed them. Out of sight, out of mind. Think about it.
Gone are the days that the only time we saw a cartoon was Saturday morning. Gone are the days of waiting for the The Three Stooges, the black and white movies of Godzilla or King Kong. Let's go back to that, come on really what can it hurt? Disney I guess.
Disney is going to start a 10 HOUR block of preschool programming in February. 10 HOURS!! Isn't this just encouraging parents or even daycare providers to plop down the kids in front of the tv? Or maybe the parents will all together not put their kids in daycare and just put them down in from of the tv durning the time they go to work. That is going to save a butt load of money on child care.
In 2012 "Playhouse disney will be on 24 hours a day! Preschool teachers were asked how they felt about all this t.v. watching. They said the these kids are falling behind in social skill, sitting in from of a t.v. doesn't teach you how to share or be a good listener.
I feel bad for these kids who's parents took part in this research. The way I see it they simply want the t.v. to teach the kids everything. These I bet are the same parents that blame the media and video games when their kids turn out to be Anti-social, gang members and murders. These are the parents that when their kids say a bad word or do something bad they blame it on some show on t.v. Possilbly these are the parents that go ahead and thing about suing the big companies.
The way I see it, is that we are in charge of our kids. We are responsible for them. I am not saying that my kids don't ever watch t.v. but they are limited to what and how much they watch. We as a family sit down and play games together. I taught my girls how to cook and bake. By the age of three my youngest daughter was reading. She could tell you what the recipe is for choclate cookies. How about turning on the radio for the day? I usually turn on Cities 97 when we do that. I can't take the repetiveness of the top 40 stations. The kids didn't really like it at first, but then they heard of couple of their favorites and now I catch them listenting to it on their own. Take charge of your kids. Plans time for a family movie night. Or find a show that you all love to watch and take the time and watch it together. Now matter what is happening make that time happen.

"Veterans Day"

The day that we honor those who have served our country, today is the day we thank those who have served our country. Today is the day we thank them. The way I see it if you see a man or a women in uniform thank then no matter what day it is.
My grandfather, husband, brother-in-law, cousin and an old neighbor of our have all served this country. I am proud of them every day.
There are so many women and men that fight for our freedone everyday. I often wonder what I can do to help them back. The first thing that comes to mind us the simple things. Say thank you to them when you see them in uniform or wearing a hat. If possible I move them up to first class (Iam a flight attendant). If my family and I are out to eat and see a veteran we pay for thier dinner. Give up your seat for them on the bus. Hold the door for them and say thanks for serving. It's not that hard.
I read in the Detroit new about a website www.Mission-able.com. This is an effort by paralyzed veterans or America. They want everyone, person, company, community to help our hero's live better lives. They want to ensure that those who have worn a military uniform and are seriously injured have whatever it is they need to live full lives. The life they deserve. To recieve care, benefits and jobs.
Are you aware that 85 percent of severly disable vetrans don't have jobs! 85 percent!! Through Mission Able they want to turn this around. Don't you want to help? I am sure you know a vetrans somewhere.
They have vocational rehabitation programs that can help our hero's have a better and fair chance at getting a job. Employers should have a mission of thier own to hire more veterans. If it wasnt' for these people you wouldn't have the freedom you do.
We should all give not only our thanks, but whatever else we can to to help these men and women who have stood up so prould and bravely for our country.

That's the way I see it. Thanks for reading.
